This evening I will make a journey to Marshall McGearty’s Lounge. A monthly trek I like to take to the local ‘Tobacco Artisans’. Every first Thursday of a month the Artisans have a tasting including a ‘to be announced’ guest company. I use it as an excuse to check in on Marshall’s products, new cigarette blends, and any little antiques they come across and sell in the store. This week the tba guest is going to be Goose Island They’ll bring their beer and McGearty’s will bring their leaf. I’ll have a full review upon my return. Free beer though, may bring my review late, it could be tomorrow until its out. If you’re ever in Chicago around the first Thursday of a month, be sure to stop by this little known niche and experience an informative, friendly, pleasantly gentle introduction to the leaf, the process, cigarettes, and a guest product.

Ladies, Gentleman,
The purpose of this particular blog, as I have another, is to discuss my hobbies. As my hobbies do change over time, or appear in different forms, it should be a dynamic enough blog for someone to get at least some enjoyment from reading, perhaps some ideas themselves. First though, I want to make it clear that some of my hobbies could be offensive to others, nothing serious, just things you might see as hazards to your health. Please do not take this blog as a promotion of the hobbies I have or an attempt to bring others into the fray. My hobbies are, in many ways, an attempt to obtain a more well rounded perspective, a more sophisticated and respectable demeanor, manners. How exactly they do this I will explain shortly.
They include:
The study of tobacco, the leaf, the manufacturing, the forms, and the use of
Wine and Spirits,
Literature, in specific, poetry.
Disclaimer:
Yes, I do realize the risks associated with tobacco, alcohol, and even over romanticism. If it bothers any one to read this.. I beg you don’t. I wouldn’t want the things I write to upset anyone. Especially for the hobbies that bring me so much joy.
